In 2008, Aesthetic Apparatus produced a series of limited-edition, screenprinted window signs for a local gallery show. These signs parodied the classic OPEN sign, but substituted the language with alternate and absurd adjectives. Now they’re bringing this visual vernacular to the masses by creating a font with their Kickstarter project.

I love this branding by Pentagram for the 2011 London Design Festival. The design was inspired by the phrase ‘Design from all angles.’ This could have easily crossed over into being cheesy, but it was executed perfectly. It’s interesting, bold and doesn’t seem to get boring.
