Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life

Posted on by Kyle

Springtime always reminds me of one of my favorite artists, Charley Harper. I first saw his illustrations when I was about eight, flipping through my family’s set of children’s encyclopedia. I distinctly remember green geometric frogs that Charley illustrated for a poem, and to this day, he’s still one of my favorite artists. To help me reminisce, my sister gave me Todd Oldham’s book, “Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life” as a birthday gift, an excellent collection of his work and life.

  1. O! This is awesome! I’ve seen pictures of that tile mural — in Cleveland or Columbus or somewhere? (can’t remember) — and have thought, “If I am ever in that city, I’m going to go see that.” I had no idea who the artist was. Love seeing more of his work. Thank you!
